For enough marinade for about a kilogram of steak, you will need the following:
- 2 garlic cloves roughly chopped
- Half a red chilli, deseeded and roughly chopped
- A knob of ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce or teriyaki sauce
- 1.5 tbsp tomato ketchup
Blitz the garlic, chilli and ginger in a blender and then add the soy/teriyaki and ketchup, pulsing until completely blended.
Smear the marinade over the steak and leave in the fridge for up to 24 hours before cooking to your liking.
