RECIPE:

Soy and Ginger Marinade

For enough marinade for about a kilogram of steak, you will need the following:

  • 2 garlic cloves roughly chopped
  • Half a red chilli, deseeded and roughly chopped
  • A knob of ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce or teriyaki sauce
  • 1.5 tbsp tomato ketchup

Blitz the garlic, chilli and ginger in a blender and then add the soy/teriyaki and ketchup, pulsing until completely blended.

Smear the marinade over the steak and leave in the fridge for up to 24 hours before cooking to your liking.
