We sell our beef in mixed boxes as this is the most sustainable way for us to use the animal as it allows us to balance how we use the whole carcass and it means that we don’t waste anything. This means that the box contents will vary but commonly include a roasting joint, steak and mince amongst other things.

Yes and no!! You choose a budget and quantity to suit you and we will pack a range of items. All of the boxes vary in content to some degree because our animals are individuals and we often don’t quite know what we will be cutting until our skilled butchers start work on the carcass.

We will include a mixture of things most likely familiar to you as well as giving you the chance to try some of the things you may not find so regularly (these are often the tastiest parts of the carcass, not to mention the best value!).

When your box is ready to leave the farm, we will email you to let you know what we have packed. Also, the only thing that we do not routinely include in our boxes is offal but this is available on request.

We only sell mixed boxes rather than individual items but do contact us if you want to include something specific in your box or if you want more of something in particular. It is helpful if you can tell us when you order how many people there are in your household as this helps us to pack items of the right size.

If there is anything you particularly do not like then please tell us and we will always do our best to leave this out. It gets easier to tailor your box and as we get to know you!

Our smallest box is priced at £45 plus P&P. We offer free P&P on our largest box priced at £140. If you wanted to try us for the first time and this is more than you want to spend, or if you live locally and can collect then please get in touch and we will try and put something together that suits you.

Yes, you may collect your order and many of our customers like to visit us so that they can see first hand what we are doing and meet some of our animals.

Our meat is not certified organic but our animals have the most natural diet possible and they never eat grains, cereals or concentrate. We practice traditional farming methods, utilising the cattle’s own manure to return organic matter and nutrients directly back into the land in order to minimise our use of chemical supplements.

This varies. We usually dispatch fresh orders once a month and at all other times, your box will be frozen although we always prefer to send our burgers out frozen to ensure they don’t get squashed in transit!! Your meat will come labeled with the description and weight and will be ready to go straight into the fridge or freezer. Your items will have a recommended use by date but in reality will maintain quality in the freezer for well over 3 months. Please contact us for more details if you need to.

You can order from us at any time and our regular mailing days are Tuesday and Thursday for the majority of UK postcodes.

When you place your order online we’ll let you know when it will be sent to you so that you know more precisely when to expect it and whether the meat will be fresh or frozen.

When you place your order online we will let you know when we will be dispatching your box. We use DPD as our courier and subject to stock availability our boxes are mailed out on Tuesdays and Thursdays for next day delivery to mainland UK postcodes.

If you require delivery to certain other destinations such as the Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Highlands and Islands etc., DPD request two days for delivery and extra P&P charges apply.

Your order is packed in a recyclable cardboard box lined with wool and will contain reuseable ice packs. Your order will keep cold/frozen in this packaging for 48 hours. Items will be individually wrapped and fridge/freezer ready showing the cut, weight and use by date.

We are constantly reviewing our packaging as our business grows and new products become available so that we can be plastic free as soon as possible. Our regular customers will have seen us trying different things but as yet we haven’t found a fully leak-proof plastic-free wrapper that is satisfactory for mail deliveries. Meanwhile, the cardboard box, wool liner and ice packs can all be reused or recycled and you may see some of our products held in a sugar cane tray. This is fully biodegradable but unfortunately this can cause a loss of colour and some adhesion to the meat so we do not use it for everything but we are working closely with our butchery partner and will keep you updated on our progress.

Usually they are not, but with advance notice we can make gluten free to order. Our sausages and burgers contain only natural ingredients as seasonings and are made to our butchers own recipe, containing no additives or emulsifiers. Our sausages are contained in natural casings which “breathe” to ensure a more enhanced flavour.

DPD are instructed to leave your beef box without a signature and if you have told us about a safe place for your delivery to be left, we can let them know in advance.

DPD aim to deliver to you by midday although there are occasions where operationally this may not happen but If you provide us with a mobile phone number and email address this helps them to keep you updated on the progress of your delivery.
