Double Trouble!

We have had an anxious few weeks waiting for our oldest cow to give birth. As one of our first group of cows bought in Spring 2012, “Bramble Unambiguous” had just passed her 16th birthday and she had really started to show her age during this pregnancy. We have kept a very close eye on her over recent weeks so were delighted to wake up on Monday morning to find she had not only safely delivered a heifer calf but it was obvious that there was another one on the way! We realised that the second calf had a front leg folded back so he was never going to come on his own but with a bit of help he was soon born. We think she may have earned her retirement now!
