Silaging Round 1!

We make silage in either three or four cuts every year which is then fed to the cattle when they are housed inside during the winter. This first cut has been better than we dared to hope…. we were concerned with the dry weather that growth hadn’t been quite as strong as last year but infact yield per acre has been pretty much the same. Just incase you didn’t know, I can confirm that farmers are indeed never happy with the weather and we are now really desperate for some rain to get the grass growing again!
